Smile

Sometimes we take for granted the small things in life that God placed on this earth just for us. I like to think that He has hidden treasures for each and every one of us to find. Our own personal gem. Sometimes we have to really dig to find it other times all we need to do is open our eyes! Just seeing someone smile or laugh is a wonderful treasure. It's comforting, it makes me happy, it can warm a room. It is free and anyone can give or recieve it! So smile!

Hello

Hi everybody! This is my first blog ever! Its a Sunday afternoon and I just woke up from a 3 hour nap! God sure wasn't kidding about the day of rest! I feel that EVERYONE should partake in this. Whether you take a 3 hour nap or just sit back and relax with a glass of iced tea, we all need to give ourselves a break. I think that it gives us time to sit back and reflect on our week, the encounters we had with people, and to also pray for the upcoming week.
If God rested from his work on the 7th day, we should not be surprised that we also need the rest. Jesus also demonstrated this in Mark 6:31-32.

Then, because so many people were coming and going, they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, "Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest." So they went away by themselves in a boat to a solitary place.

Jesus knows when we need to rest. And when we are doing God's work, we need to make sure that we are fully rested and renewed in order to do His work effectively. This also applies for us in our daily jobs. God desires for us to be successful and fruitful in our daily activities.
I pray that each of you is able to take some time to rest and renew your minds and bodies.

Psalm 46:10: Be still, and know that I am God.

Love you!
Sarah
